In the constant pursuit of improvement many automotive car manufacturers are employing
Dual Mass Flywheels to reduce the drive line vibrations that occur from the
natural diesel engine cycle.
These
Dual Mass Flywheel units are fairly expensive and are inherently bigger than a
conventional flywheel.
Albon
Engineering are developing and testing a drive line isolation unit, which
hopefully will offer drive line isolation, reduced mass and be competitively
priced, all within a very compact unit.
